Meet David

I’m David Thornton, and I’ve loved Oasis for as long as I can remember. They were the band I listened to growing up, and with my Dad’s side of the family being Mancunian, the music has always meant a lot to me.

I know the b-sides as well as the anthems. I’ve been playing music and performing in bands for over 25 years, including Sinfiction and Pilots of The Sky. These days I also busk Oasis tracks in towns around the country, and The Mancunian Songbook is my way of bringing those songs to life in pubs, venues, and events. It’s just me and an acoustic guitar, stripped back and simple, with the goal of getting everyone singing along to Oasis songs they know and love.

I put my own spin on some of the songs. Most are performed in a style that blends Liam’s vocal energy with the feel of Noel’s Royal Albert Hall acoustic performances, but some get a completely different treatment. Columbia, for example, gets a country vibe. It keeps things interesting and means you’re not just hearing karaoke versions of the originals.

Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, and available for bookings across the Home Counties and beyond.

What’s Included

Two 50-minute sets packed with Oasis classics and fan favourites, carefully chosen to get everyone singing along.

Oasis stories woven in throughout. The tales behind the tracks, the studio bust-ups, the rivalry, the inspiration behind the lyrics.

Full PA system provided. You don’t need to worry about sound equipment. I bring everything needed for a great sound in your venue.

A singalong atmosphere. Every song in the setlist has been picked because people know it and love it. By the end of the night, the whole venue is singing.

This is my standard setlist but it’s not set in stone. If there’s a song you want to hear that isn’t on the list, let me know and I’ll learn it for your booking.

Pub & Venue Gigs: From £295 Perfect for regular pub nights, live music evenings, and local venue bookings.

Weddings & Private Functions: From £495 For weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, and private celebrations. Includes additional planning and coordination.

All bookings include two 50-minute sets with a 15-minute break, full PA system, and setup/soundcheck. Travel is included within 20 miles of Aylesbury. A small travel supplement may apply for venues further afield.
